Alaska Dance Theatre is the only dance company with Resident Company status at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. The Company presents three concerts a year in the Discovery Theatre. It appears with other Resident Companies - the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, the Anchorage Opera, the Anchorage Concert Chorus - as guest artists.

The Company also presents joint performances with other local and visiting artists in the Alice Bassler Sullivan Theatre on the ADT campus at 550 E 33rd Ave. Companies like Maureen Whiting Dance from Seattle and Erica Essner from New York showcase the latest in dance ideas. Ritmovida Dance Partnership from Anchorage and North Star Ballet from Fairbanks join Alaska Dance Theatre in performances in this intimate theatre. Dance fans get to experience dance and get a chance to talk to the choreographers and dancers.

Alaska Dance Theatre, Inc. is supported by individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations as well as by grants from the Alaska State Council for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, Western States Arts Federation, the Municipality of Anchorage with funds appropriated by the Assembly with addition support from the Alaskan Arts & Cultural Foundation.
