MOON UPRISING
Erica Essner Performance Co-Op will present a world premiere MOON UPRISING, featuring music by composer Miguel Frasconi.
Miguel Frasconi is a composer of new exploratory world music who has performed with John Cage, Brian Eno, Trichy Sankaran, and Jon Hassell. He has created over three dozen dance scores and received a 1997 Isadora Duncan Dance Award for his work with Alonzo King's LINES Ballet.
Intricate partnering and expressionism define this new duet driven by glass instruments and analog electronics.
BACK TO TIJUCA (2007)
Created at The Rio de Janeiro Choreographic Center, “Back to Tijuca" features a series of spicy duets set to a score by Barbatugues, whose music explores percussion on the human body.

YOU GO, I GO (2007)
This piece
features 5 dancers tangled up in forceful physical dialogue. The dance explores cause and effect in the context of the anatomical vocabulary. YOU GO, I GO is performed to music composed by Gustavo Santaolalla whose guitar music features traditional Argentinean music infused with polyrhythm and harmonic overtones.
