Alaska Dance Theatre is committed to community engagement. Along with
our Creative Dance program, an extensive outreach program is being
developed related to our performance season. We will post more information
for the 2011-12 Season as it becomes available.

Outreach & Education - supported by Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield
Alaska Dance Theatre brings movement to youth throughout the Anchorage area through its preschool Creative Movement Program and in-school visits.
This season we are partnered with Gal Yeladim Preschool and Alaska Pediatrics Group to bring the joy of dance and movement to young people through a series of classes and workshop focused on accessiblity introducing new forms of expression to create new pathways of communication.

Scholarships - supported by Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield, Key Bank and First National Bank Alaska
Thanks to support from our Scholarship sponosrs Alaska Dance Theatre awards financial need and merit based scholarships each semester to deserving young dancers. Through an extensive application process each dancer is evaluated on need, merit and potential. Scholarships are awarded 2-3 times per year. Recipients and their families are also asked to contribute time outside of their dance studies to contribute to the organization and support its programs.
