Returning to In-person Classes

Hello ADT families!

We are happy to announce that ADT will be starting it's Spring Semester in person beginning Monday, January 4th! We are so excited to see all of our amazing students again after a long holiday break! Below are some reminders, general questions answered, and information on updated projects.

  • Has anything changed for ADT's Covid-19 Mitigation Plan? This is a reminder that all Covid-19 mitigation plans are in place as we return back into the building for classes. This includes mandatory masks for all students, social distancing measures followed in and out of the studios, and parents asked to please remain out of the building during class times, along with other measures as outlined on ADT's website.

  • Does anything change if I have received a vaccine? ADT's Covid-19 mitigation plan applies to everyone, even those who have received a vaccine shot. This is based on the CDC recommendations and will be updated when more information is available.

  • Is Zoom still available in the Spring? Absolutely, our Zoom option is still available for those who are unable to attend in person.

  • Could ADT return back to online classes? ADT will continue to listen to the advice of the medical community, monitor case counts in the city, and follow all mandates that apply to our organization. We wish to stay open to in-person training for this semester but also acknowledge that we do not know what the future holds!

ADT Report Cards Will my dancer be receiving report cards this year? In a normal season midway through the year, ADT staff usually will create report cards to reflect the training and growth of students against our syllabus. This year, ADT will only be issuing report cards that have been requested specifically. If you would like to receive a report card from your dancer's instructor, please reach out to me directly at nmaple@alaskadancetheatre.org.
