This past February, four of ADT's Advanced ballet students participated in the Youth America Grand Prix competition (YAGP for short), and we couldn't be more proud of their hard work and effort put forth to this project. YAGP is the largest international competition, scholarship, and convention organization for pre-professional ballet dancers. During the 4 day long event, our dancers experienced master classes with world renowned instructors and directors, competed in 3 classical and contemporary variations, and watched international stars perform on the big stage.
Alaska Dance Theatre has competed in YAGP for the past 4 years, and is always honored to represent ballet in the state of Alaska.
Congratulations to Orla Flood, Isabella Hernandez-Aviles, Fiona Witty-Daugherty, and Juliet O'Connor. Additionally we would like to recognize Orla Flood for placing in the top 24 of the Senior Classical Ballet Division at YAGP, awesome!
